Critically acclaimed British singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone is the third musician to be announced as part of Vans’ “Classic Since Forever” campaign.
There’s no stopping the multi-talented 22-year old who has emerged as one of the biggest breakout talents of the past two years. In the last 12 months alone, Holly has taken home the 2022 BRIT Rising Star Award, toured the world with Olivia Rodrigo and Girl in Red, played Glastonbury and is about to embark on her biggest ever headline tour, including London’s iconic Brixton Academy. And all of this without even releasing her highly-anticipated debut album, which will drop in 2023.
Growing up in the small countryside town of Grantham, Lincolnshire but now based in London, the songs she wrote in her bedroom capture the universal feeling of anxiety when you leave home, move to a new city and feel lost and displaced. Holly’s honest and sometimes heartbreaking storytelling abilities have captured the hearts and minds of fans globally – and Vans.
‘Classic Since Forever’ is a celebration of Vans’ most iconic footwear styles and deep-routed connection to music. Shot in the landmark that is fabric London, Holly wears the Checkerboard Slip-On and black & white Old Skool. Holly is the third incredibly talented musician to join the campaign, alongside fellow British artist Tom Misch and Vans Global Music Ambassador, Anderson .Paak. To celebrate the launch, Holly will play a headline – and free – show at House of Vans London in December.
The Fifth Sister Swap is a sustainable initiative launched by Holly as a way for her fans to swap clothes without relying on fast fashion. As part of her House of Vans London show, Holly and Vans have partnered with Lovenskate to host an upcycling workshop where fans will be encouraged to bring along some old clothes to screen print. Stay tuned for more information on Holly’s upcoming gig.
